Sponsored by QUT

The 2024 Queensland Philanthropy Innovation Award will recognise an outstanding Queensland individual, organisation, family or family foundation with a proven record of exceptional innovation within the philanthropy sector. The selection is not necessarily based on the size of the financial aspect but on the social and long term impact that the philanthropist will have in the real world.

The recipient of this award will have the privilege of nominating a charity of their choice to receive a $2,000 donation sponsored by QUT.

The successful nominee will possess the following qualities:

  • A Queensland philanthropist with an established record of outstanding philanthropic innovation or social enterprise.
  • Demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility whose generosity inspires others to philanthropic action.
  • Significant impact made in the Queensland community through leadership in education philanthropy, voluntary commitment of time, advocacy, financial donations and fundraising.

The criteria for the award will focus on philanthropy that is outstanding in its innovation – effective and impactful in Queensland – and that exemplifies qualities such as commitment, inspiration and leadership.

All nominees will receive a certificate of nomination.

All nominees will be included in our digital campaign.

All finalists will be acknowledged at an Awards presentation at Brisbane City Hall.

Submissions will be reviewed by an external Selection Panel.
